Our mission is to support the performers in the accordion community and we thank the wonderful artists who generously give their talent to entertain us at the San Francisco Accordion Club.

January 26th, 2025: Adrian Jost, Bandoneón!
(Live from Chetcuti Community Center)

Adrian Jost began his musical studies on accordion in Switzerland. At the age of 11, he began studying the Bayan with Fritz Tschannen and Stephane Chapuis. His formal collegiate studies were actually in the Sciences, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree.

In 1996, with a grant from the global, electro-technology firm Landis & Gyr, Adrian pursued a Master’s degree from Northwestern University, just outside of Chicago. It was here in the US Midwest that Adrian discovered Tango and began applying his musical talents to learning the instrument that epitomizes the sound of this latin dance form - the bandoneón. In 2001, he co-founded Trio Garufa, a popular San Francisco based tango group that has enthralled audiences throughout the West Coast, Argentina, Colombia and Europe.

Adrian brings authentic emotional authority to tango music and is currently in collaboration with Argentinian pianist Pablo Estigarribia of Buenos Aires. Find out more by visiting: Adrian's Website.

Round up your accordion and join in the fun at the Accordion Circle meeting at the Chetcuti Community Center. Accordionists of all skill levels are welcome – from beginners to seasoned experts, and anyone in-between.

Sheet music will be provided that we can all play and enjoy as a group, but we also invite and encourage any person or group who has prepared a piece or two that they would like to perform in front of an audience to do so. If you would like to perform at the upcoming meeting or if you aren't quite ready yet, but would like to perform at a future meeting, please contact Ken Schwartz at info@sfaccordionclub.com and a spot will be held open for you.

March 16th, 2025: Accordion Circle - at the Piedmont High School Student Center,Building B!

The turnout when we meet in the East Bay has been very successful. We saw both familiar and many new faces participating. What works once is worth repeating so March's SFAC Accordion Circle get-together will once again meet at the Piedmont High School Student Center, Building B, 800 Magnolia Avenue, Piedmont, CA 94611. What was a one-time experiment has taught us that there are many people with an interest in the accordion in the East Bay and we have found a way to reach out to them. We hope all members from wherever you live in the Bay Area will participate.

Accordionists of all skill levels are welcome – from beginners to seasoned experts, and anyone in-between.
If you don’t play the accordion, join the event anyway and cheer the players on Please contact Ken Schwartz at info@sfaccordionclub.com if you would like to be added to the playlist.
