July Musical Meeting-

The July musical afternoon was "open mic" in the first half, and our featured star, Joe Domitrowich, in the second half. The entire meeting featured a wide variety of musical styles. "Open mic" performers were the club's "Jam Band," Robert Doerr, Bob Smith, "Power Duo" of Caroline Grannan and Jean Moshofsky, Ilya Kreymer, Don Savant, Val Kieser, Skyler Fell, and a duo of Lynn Ewing and Don Nurisso.

Joe Domitrowich ( www.capricious-accordion.com ), on his Concerto MIDI accordion and his reedless Petosa Millennium accordion, covered all kinds of styles, from Swiss to Strauss, from Russian to Salsa, from Italian and French standards to the theme from Godfather, from Glenn Miller to the Beatles, and one of his signature pieces, "Train Ride," loaded with special sound effects and speed changes. What a show!
